Hi! We’re Jamie and Dre 👋🏾 The Scenic Detour started with a simple belief: the best moments in life rarely happen on the fastest route. They’re found on backroads, sunrise trailheads, snowy ridgelines, far-off coastal beaches, international trains, and all the unexpected places you stumble upon when you slow down and explore, whether you’re close to home, living out of a van, or wandering across the world.

Today, The Scenic Detour is a home for all of it. We create in-depth travel guides, destination-focused videos, and weekly YouTube episodes that share the real side of vanlife, global travel, mountain biking, skiing and snowboarding, trail running, and exploring wild places everywhere. Our goal is simple: help people discover new destinations, plan meaningful adventures, and feel inspired to take their own scenic detour, whether it’s a weekend road trip or a journey abroad.

Heading back to Colorado via Michigan And Arkansas.
